In addition to the glyphs in range 16, the NBS added a single glyph at position 910. It is a Duplex Normal Taper1 Roman symbol (a cent sign), sitting between the Uniplex Normal ranges and the Duplex Indexical ranges. I'll call this "range 43," and then skip ranges 44 through 47 so as to continue with range 48 for the Duplex Indexical.
The Hershey glyphs produced and distributed by Dr. Hershey are clearly in the public domain. The glyphs produced by others and distributed with the GNU Plotutils are, to the best of my understanding, also in the public domain. The glyph data as transformed and used here by me remain in the public domain as well.
